Feeling Exhausted and Overwhelmed?
Do you feel exhausted and overwhelmed with your life?
Do you feel like you don’t have enough hours in a day?
Do you feel like you are already left behind?
Hey, you are not alone. We all have had those thoughts from time to time. We tend to wear ourselves out with these thoughts. But what if I told you that there is “no timetable” that you have to follow? What if I told you, you are right on time for everything in your life? How would this make you feel?
There are over 7 billion people in this world. Can you tell me who among these 7 billion people gets to decide that your life is not going on time? Who among these people can tell you that you are late on getting your career on track? Who among these 7 billion people can tell you that you don’t have enough time in the day to get everything done? Who makes up these rules for you and your life? What if I told you that it is YOU that is making up these timetables? Yes, you are making yourself feel exhausted, overwhelmed and feeling left behind and it all starts with the thoughts you are thinking about.
What do you think our timetables would look like if we are on time for everything that happens in our lives? We would have enough time to do everything we set out to do. We would have free time to spend with family and friends or travel and still get our work done. We would never feel like we are behind in anything in life. What tends to happen is we compare our life with other people and their life and if it isn’t going in the same direction or along with their schedule, we tend to feel that our life isn’t going well or we are behind and then we tend to start feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. But, it is our own thoughts about the other person’s life that makes us feel this way. If we change the way we think about their life, and just be happy for them instead of comparing our life to theirs, we can choose to think that our life is going “right on schedule”. When we start to compare other peoples’ lives with our own, we may feel discouraged that we are not reaching our goals as quickly as they have and it may keep us from moving forward in our own life. What I want to offer to you, is to change your thoughts. Start with a simple thought like “I am right on time”. This thought will help you to keep focused on your own life, and propel you forward rather than the feeling that you are going to be left behind. We get to choose the thoughts we want to think. However, these types of thoughts take practice. Let us help guide you through these thoughts. We will help you watch what you are thinking about on a daily basis. Let’s discuss your thoughts and let us help you achieve the goals you want in your life.
